About What We Do...

All of our menus are tailored around your specific needs and requirements. Utilising the best that is on offer - whether it be local produce or international fare, Hand Made Catering only uses reputable suppliers, who deal with the highest quality produce.

Our beef is sourced from the pristine grasslands of tranquil Tasmania, where the animals run free range and are grown with minimal human interaction (chemical and hormone free). Cape Grim beef is used in some of the best restaurants in the world, so you can be guaranteed that it is the best there is. We use MSA grade beef which is guaranteed to be tender or your money back!

We also specialise in Wagyu beef. This super premium product comes from specialist Central Queensland feedlots where the animals are fed on grain for up to 600 days. The quality of the meat produced is like no other. Using traditional methods, pure Wagyu bloodlines as well as a very strict grading system, we guarantee that you are getting one of the finest products in the world.

Our Lamb we use is sourced from local South Australian farms including the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Coonawarra & Clare Valley, which we have direct standards in sizing, age and feeding. This guarantees a consistent and premium product every time.

Free range chickens are used for our base menus. Hand Made Catering ensures that only the freshest and best quality will be used for your event. Our more advanced menus use corn fed poultry, different breeds and different growing methods; depending on the menus and applications.

Our seafood is sourced from several suppliers, ensuring that the freshest and best quality is maintained. Regular communication with Australia's premier seafood suppliers guarantees a fresh consistent product. Our menus focus on seafood from the crystal waters of Australia.

The freshest fruit and vegetables are sourced from throughout Australia, with a large focus on boutique growers in South Australia, in particular from the gardens of those that sell at the Barossa Farmer's Market.

Finally the finest French truffles, foie gras, specific oils and vinegars, rubs, charcuterie, cheeses, chocolate, caviar, mushrooms and butters from all over the world help produce our gastronomic promise to you.
We know that quality products are paramount in producing our menu. Working together with our trusted suppliers we ensure perfection every time. If there are any products which you would specifically like, we are willing to source them for you.

Our menus are tailored to your needs. With personalised service and direct consultation, we can help you create menus combining not only the finest produce but, also match your personal tastes, dietary requirements and budgets.

Please see below for a brief overview of the menus and styles we offer:

Canapé Events - select a minimum of 8 choices from the canapé list or create your own. Usually done over a 2-3 hour period. Please contact Stuart for a quote. Sample Canapé Selections Menu

Set Menus - A set entree, main course and dessert, including a vegetarian option. This menu is our most popular menu. We can offer more courses (canapés, cheese or another main course) on your request. Please contact Stuart for a quote. About Set & Choice Menus

Choice Menus - Select some options from each of the entree, main course and dessert portfolios and give your guests some flexibility in their dining. Please contact Stuart for a quote. About Set & Choice Menus

Food & Wine Matching - Our speciality! We can match your wine to our food or help you to select wines to match the menus we create. With Hand Made Catering's Liquor Licence, beverages from around the world can be sourced and menus created to complement them. These menus are unique and final cost is discussed at the time of menu creation.

Degustation - These menus offer a truly amazing culinary experience! Menus of at least eight courses are usually designed around a culinary style or region of your choice. Wine pairing can be included in your tailored menu. Please contact Stuart for a quote. Sample Degustation Menu

Gourmet BBQ - Using the most amazing fresh produce we create a menu for your guests that is ideal for a relaxed environment. Our highly trained chefs will give your guests a culinary show guaranteeing they see fresh quality produce and raw talent working together to produce an alfresco masterpiece. The Other Little Things...

Trained staff can assist you with all aspects of planning your event: from helping you find the perfect location, hiring cutlery, organizing linen, setting your tables and clearing away your event.
Hand Made Catering
work together with hire companies who offer us a competitive pricing structure. We in turn pass this on to you. We will offer advice, put you in touch with reliable suppliers and guide you every step of the way.

Once you book the services of Hand Made Catering we are here for you right up to and beyond your event, making sure that your experience is one never to be forgotten. We offer a totally personalised service – so if you have any difficulties, questions or concerns we will be there to answer it for you.


Some Small Points...

We also supply our own front of house staff who are competent in all styles of hospitality service and are included in price per person charge. This means that there are NO HIDDEN or surprise charges later.
A minimum deposit of $500 is required to confirm an event date. The balance of the total for the event is payable one week (seven days) prior to event date. At this time a confirmed minimum number of guests which will be billed for.
Tentative bookings will be held for two weeks. If the deposit is not secured, the date will be re-opened and re-listed.
Any cancellations within three months of the proposed event date will forfeit one hundred percent of the deposit.
Bookings are on a first come first served basis - whilst every possible effort will be made to cater for all events, some days may be unavailable due to larger events which capture all staffing resources.
Prices are subject to change within ten percent due to unforeseen circumstances on produce (ie drought, flooding).
For all menus, minimum numbers or minimal spend applies.
